Default Different HUDs?

Any idea how come some people's HUD looks different than others as far as graphics? I've noticed that the weapons display and party displays are sometimes cooler looking.

You can customize your layout in the menu. You can resize, relocate, and remove just about anything.

The recent update "fattened" up the border around certain celements.

The "loading" screen also got black outlines around the letters.
